Those skills matter, but they are only one part of raising a well-rounded dog. Puppies are developing physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally at a rapid pace. During this time, they are learning what is safe, how to respond to the world, how to interact with people and dogs, how to settle, how to communicate, and how to build trust with their family.
Connected Puppy Path™ was created to support puppies through these developmental stages with guidance that is appropriate for their age, needs, and learning style. Connected Puppy Path™ offers two individualized learning experiences based on your puppy's stage of development.
HomeSchool™
During your puppy's earliest developmental stages, learning happens best in the comfort and familiarity of home. HomeSchool™ provides one-on-one coaching for both puppies and their families, focusing on confidence, communication, household success, and developmentally appropriate learning before transitioning into a structured training environment.

Day School™

How Connected Puppy Path™ Works
Puppy Consultation
Every puppy begins with a consultation so we can learn about your puppy, your home, your goals, and any early challenges you are experiencing. We will help determine the best starting point for your puppy based on their age, confidence, routine, temperament, and vaccination status.
HomeSchool™
HomeSchool™ is our in-home puppy training option for young puppies who are still in their earliest developmental stages. Because puppies under 16 weeks are still developing and have not yet completed their core vaccination series, we begin learning in the comfort and familiarity of your home. HomeSchool™ can be scheduled once per week, twice per week, or more, depending on your puppy's needs and your family's goals.
Puppy Day School™
Once your puppy has completed their core vaccinations, they may be ready to continue their education through Puppy Day School™. Day School™ gives puppies the opportunity to expand their world in a thoughtful, structured way — including individualized training, appropriate social experiences, exposure to new environments, enrichment, rest, and guided learning.
Graduation and Next Steps
Connected Puppy Path™ does not end with one training session or one milestone. As your puppy grows, we help guide the next step in their education. For many families, that means continuing into Day School™: Foundations, where dogs work toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title and begin building more advanced real-world skills.

We help puppies and families learn how to understand each other more clearly, creating a stronger relationship from the beginning.
Socialization
Socialization is not just meeting other dogs. It includes positive exposure to people, sounds, surfaces, environments, handling, movement, and everyday life.
Household Skills
We support routines around potty training, crate training, chewing, biting, greetings, rest, and daily structure.
Emotional Regulation
One of the most important skills a puppy can learn is how to settle. We help puppies begin developing an "off switch" so they can relax when life slows down.
Foundation Behaviors
Your puppy will begin learning early obedience skills such as name recognition, recall foundations, leash introduction, attention, and simple manners.
Understanding Your Puppy's Development
The first six months of your puppy's life are a powerful developmental window. During this time, your puppy is learning what the world feels like — deciding what is safe, how to respond to new experiences, and how to interact with the people and animals around them.
Building Trust and Confidence
At this stage, puppies are highly impressionable. They are transitioning into their new home, learning who their family is, and beginning to form early opinions about the world. This is why HomeSchool™ begins with positive experiences, gentle handling, household routines, confidence building, and family coaching.
Creating Strong Foundations
As puppies become more curious and independent, they are ready for more structured learning. This is an important time for reinforcing routines, building communication, and continuing safe exposure. Training at this stage is not about perfection — it is about consistency, patience, and helping your puppy learn how to learn.

Once your puppy has completed their core vaccinations, Day School™ can help expand their education through structured training, thoughtful social experiences, enrichment, and real-world exposure. This is where puppies begin learning how to carry their confidence and communication into new environments.
