Offered in 4-, 8-, or 12-week sessions, our boot camp features a minimum of five training days each week, ensuring your dog develops essential life skills that last well beyond graduation.

Under the guidance of our Master Trainer, your dog will learn how to respond to essential obedience commands, practice leash training to walk calmly next to you, and improve household manners. *Puppy Obedience Training (Imprinting): Teach your puppy foundational commands for daily living, from leash walking without pulling to executing reliable sit-stays and down-stays.
Confidence Building: Our training programs help develop resilience through obstacle courses, agility equipment, and environmental exposure—key elements that encourage growth, stability, and confidence.
On & Off-Leash Obedience: We progress from basic commands to advanced, off-leash reliability, ensuring your puppy remains attentive and responsive, regardless of distractions.
Proper Etiquette: Your dog will learn to greet humans politely, enter and exit vehicles calmly on command, and behave with composure during routine daily activities.
Treadmill Training: Structured workouts on a slat mill treadmill improve physical stamina, muscle tone, and focus, supplementing the obedience and impulse control work for balanced development.
Pack Socialization: Supervised group play teaches puppies how to interact appropriately with other dogs, respect social cues, and cooperate as part of a pack.

Video Documentation & Handler Training: Graduation includes a personalized demonstration video, written instructions, and hands-on handler instruction, plus ongoing support.

4-week Puppy

8-week Fundamentals

Our 4-week puppy training camp in North Phoenix focuses on foundational puppy training and proper obedience responses. With hundreds of guided repetitions in a controlled, low-distraction environment, puppies develop lasting command associations and reliable on-leash behavior.

What Your Puppy Will Learn:

Name recognition and eye contact
Sit and down with implied stays
“Wait” at doors and “Place” command
Walking on-leash without pulling (basic puppy leash training)
Coming when called (on-leash)
Going into a kennel on command
Good manners—no jumping or mouthing

Play groups and supervised socialization are part of the daily routine, ensuring a healthy, well-adjusted puppy. This beginner-level puppy obedience training does not include off-leash commands, drop-it, treadmill training, distraction proofing, or field trips.

8-week Fundamentals

Our 8-week fundamentals builds on the 4-week foundation, adding outdoor training, more distractions, off-leash recall (come when called), drop-it command, and treadmill sessions. Perfect for puppies 6+ months old, this program emphasizes stronger obedience skills, leash training, and confidence in real-world scenarios—without field trips into the city or off-leash heeling.

12-week Intermediate

off-leash training, puppy off leash training for Connected Canine in North Phoenix

Our 12-week Intermediate Program in North Phoenix builds on the 8-week curriculum and adds real-world exposure through public outings, urban environments, and advanced off-leash control. Practice commands around cars, people, and distractions, achieving reliable off-leash heeling, long-distance recall, and duration-based exercises (down/stay, place, focus) to strengthen impulse control. Ideal for owners seeking advanced, distraction-proof training and leash training, this program combines intensive training classes with ongoing skill development for confident, dependable obedience.

Skills & Commands Covered:

All commands from the 8-week program
Off-leash come-when-called with real-world distractions
Down from a distance
On- and off-leash heeling next to the handler
Advanced focus and impulse control exercises

This 12-week course is recommended for dogs 6 months or older and includes field trips for comprehensive distraction proofing.

4-week Advanced CE

12-week Intermediate

Dogs who have already graduated from Connected Canine and are returning to improve their skills are eligible to participate in the 4-week continued education (CE) camp.

The program will consist of a refresher on previously learned commands, and then move on to the next level of training to further develop skills. If a dog has previously completed a 4-week puppy camp, this 4-week advancement will focus on the curriculum for weeks 4-8 (refer to the 8-week boot camp). If a dog has already completed an 8-week boot camp, this 4-week advancement course will focus on the curriculum for weeks 8-12 (refer to the 12-week boot camp).

4-Week CE considerations: This 4-week CE course is recommended for owners who have dogs that have previously graduated from a camp at our Academy and are now looking to advance to a higher level of training.

**Pre-requisite: Completion of either a puppy camp or boot camp from our academy is required for CE.
